You may have seen my bathroom makeover before, which is one of my favourite posts and is really popular with you guys too. If you haven’t seen it, do check it out here! We transformed the bathroom space from that was far too blue and cream to a clean and white with patterned grey tiles and my dream tub that I still have heart eyes for; it is currently being used to wash dishes and clothes in (not at the same time I hasten to add!)
I love the space we’ve have created; but it was a missing a couple of things. The mirror was one and I am still on the hunt for one after I purchased a too heavy mirror from Ferm Living, but all is not lost as we can use it in the new room and the other was some shelving too help add a little more personality to the room.
After looking at so many shelves, I kept finding myself coming back to the design classic, String Shelving. I have lusted after these for so long and I often find myself searching string shelving on Pinterest on a regular basis to get some design inspiration. So I went for it, it was a bit of a splurge but my, my they are worth it!
After finding the shelving on Made In Design (one of my favourite homeware sites full of scandi design!) they had been hiding underneath the sofa until Mr W came home so we could put them up, and here they are in all their glory. Don’t they just look wonderful!
They are wonderfully made as you would expect from a Scandinavian brand, the side panels, the fixtures, the fittings are all beautifully crafted and definitely worth the investment.
Now onto the styling… I added some little succulents which I picked up from the garden centre, an Oliver Bonas mirror as well as an aloe plant too! I can never have enough greenery in this room, especially against those white tiles, it just looks so fab!
As well as a little greenery, the West Elm ‘hello’ seems to have made it’s way on to the shelf as well as this delicious candle from Honest Skincare, which smells so good. I don’t burn the candle on the shelf but on the bath tidy, but looks great on these shelves when not lit. For a little fun, I’ve also added my Studio Arhoj ghost which I picked up in Hay. I have a few of these dotted around my home to add a little curiosity and they always get the most wonderful compliments!
Hope you like this design classic in my bathroom at Number Five.I love how this has finished off this wonderful space we have created!
Would love to know which design classics you have on your wish list or living in your home!
Those are really cute. And I do lurve the greenery on there. A nice little zing of colour!

GORGEOUS! We’re doing the grey grouting on our tiles right now so this is great inspiration to keep going. Love a string shelf too and your shelfie styling is spot on!
